A battery is only as good as the system around it, which is why marine battery accessories matter. Loose connections, undersized wire, missing fuses and batteries sliding around in a compartment cause more problems on the water than the batteries themselves. The right accessories make an installation safer, neater and easier to service, and they help your batteries deliver everything they’re rated for.
This collection includes the hardware that completes a marine battery install. There are trolling motor connection kits for 12V, 24V and 36V systems (some with onboard charging leads), single-case connection systems for native high-voltage lithium, and dual-battery isolator and ACR kits for outboards. You’ll also find electronics wiring kits, battery trays and mounting brackets, marine-rated battery fuses and fuse blocks, power distribution blocks, battery data hubs, and DC-DC converters for running 12V accessories from 24V, 36V or 48V banks. Brands include Dakota Lithium, EPOCH and Battle Born.
Check each listing for compatibility with your battery model, voltage and terminal size. We ship nationwide, and we handle complete installs anywhere from Venice to Gainesville, FL.

Essential accessories for a marine battery install
Secure mounting
Every battery on a boat should be secured so it can’t shift, tip or slide when the boat pounds through a chop. Use a tray or bracket made for your battery’s footprint, with a strap or hold-down. Several trays in this collection are made for specific battery models; check the listing to confirm the fit.
Overcurrent protection
A fuse or breaker close to the battery’s positive terminal protects the wiring from a short circuit. Marine-rated battery fuses (MRBF) mount directly on the terminal, and fuse blocks hold them securely. Size fuses to protect the wire and to match the equipment manufacturer’s recommendation. When you add a lithium battery, check that fuse ratings suit its ability to deliver high current.
Connection and wiring kits
Trolling motor connection kits supply pre-sized cables and terminals for wiring two or three batteries in series for 24V or 36V. Versions with charging leads make it easy to connect an onboard charger. Single-case systems are designed for native 24V, 36V and 48V lithium batteries. Electronics wiring kits give your chartplotter and sonar clean, fused power. If you’re wiring a series bank yourself, read how to wire a 24V or 36V trolling motor setup.
Isolators, ACRs and switches
An automatic charging relay (ACR) or isolator lets your outboard charge a second battery while keeping the starting battery protected from house loads. Pair it with a battery switch so you can isolate or combine banks when needed.
Converters and distribution
A DC-DC converter steps a 24V, 36V or 48V bank down to 12V for accessories, without tapping a single battery in a series string and unbalancing it. Power distribution blocks and bus bars simplify multiple connections, and battery data hubs bring battery information to a display or network.
Compatibility checklist
- System voltage: 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V.
- Battery model and footprint, for trays and brackets.
- Terminal size and type: stud diameter, posts and lugs.
- Current rating of fuses, cables and converters versus your loads.
- Wire run length, which affects the cable size you need.
Protect connections from salt
Saltwater is hard on terminals and cable ends. Use heat-shrink, tinned marine wire and a terminal protectant, and inspect connections regularly. Our guide to saltwater corrosion prevention covers the details.
Marine battery accessories FAQ
Do I need a fuse on my trolling motor?
Yes. Most trolling motor manufacturers specify a fuse or breaker in the positive lead. Check your motor’s manual for the rating.
Will a battery tray fit any battery?
No. Trays are sized for specific footprints or models. Check the listing and your battery’s dimensions.
Can I run 12V electronics off a 36V trolling bank?
Use a DC-DC converter rated for your loads instead of tapping one battery in the string.
Can you do the wiring for me?
Yes, anywhere from Venice to Gainesville, FL. See local installation.
