Lithium Rhino focuses on making the switch to lithium straightforward. Rather than selling a battery alone, the Lithium Rhino marine line comes as conversion kits, packaged to replace a boat’s lead-acid batteries with LiFePO4. Each battery in the line has an IP67-rated case, built to be dust-tight and to survive temporary immersion, along with Bluetooth monitoring so you can check state of charge from your phone.

Trolling motor kits
If your boat runs a 24V or 36V trolling motor, a native high-voltage lithium battery takes the place of two or three lead-acid batteries. The result is less weight, fewer connections and one charger connection. Check your motor’s voltage and choose the matching kit. Then decide on capacity based on how long and how hard you fish. Dual cranking kit

What a conversion involves
A conversion kit makes the battery side simple, but the boat’s system still needs a look:
- Charging: lithium needs a lithium-profile charger. If the engine alternator charges the battery, a DC-DC charger may be recommended. See charging lithium on a boat.
- Fit: measure the compartment and confirm mounting and terminal placement.
- Protection: fuse close to the battery, and size cables for the loads.
- Switching: review your battery switch and isolator setup.

Why IP67 matters on a boat
Battery compartments get wet from spray, rain and bilge water. An IP67 rating means the case is dust-tight and tested for temporary immersion. That’s good protection, but it isn’t a reason to mount a battery where it sits in water. Keep batteries secured, dry and accessible, and protect terminals from corrosion.
