Mobile Marine Battery Service in Pasco County, FL

Pasco County’s coast runs from Holiday and the Anclote River north through New Port Richey, Port Richey and Hudson. It is a shallow, grassy stretch of the Gulf known for trout, redfish and summer scallops, while the inland half of the county is lake country.
Coastal Pasco boaters launch from the Anclote River, the Cotee River at New Port Richey and Port Richey, and the Hudson channels, then follow marked channels across shallow flats to deeper water. Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park protects a long stretch of the coast. Inland, Land O’ Lakes lives up to its name, with lake neighborhoods where pontoons and ski boats are part of daily life.

Town by town
New Port Richey. New Port Richey grew up around the Pithlachascotee River, which locals just call the Cotee. The Pasco coast is shallow for a long way out, with grass flats that hold trout and redfish and rock piles further out for grouper.
Port Richey. Port Richey is the waterfront end of the Cotee River, where the river meets the Gulf. Charters run out of Port Richey for grouper, mackerel and kingfish in season, and local skiffs fish the flats for trout and reds.
Hudson. Hudson is a quiet Gulf town on the northern end of Pasco County, known for its canals, its small beach and some of the best scalloping access on this stretch of coast. Grass flats off Hudson are known for trout, redfish and, in summer, scallops.
Holiday. Holiday sits on the north bank of the Anclote River, across from Tarpon Springs, with easy access to Anclote Key and the Gulf. The flats around Anclote Key and the river mouth hold trout, redfish and snook, and the Gulf beyond holds grouper.
Land O’ Lakes. As the name says, Land O’ Lakes is lake country. Lake life here means bass fishing at dawn, waterskiing and tubing in the afternoon, and pontoon cruises in the evening.

Battery care for Pasco County boats
On the shallow Pasco flats, boats spend a lot of time drifting with electronics on. A separate house battery keeps the cranking battery ready for the run home, and a good onboard charger keeps both healthy.
